1 series and iPod and APPs questions.

Gents,
is it possible to add the iPhone docking station into the center console of any 1 series or did it have to come with some sort of package to enable the docking station to work. Was thinking about keeping my iPod in its place instead of an iPhone so my music would all be in one place and it would charge? Thats wasted space to me anyways. Are there any BMW apps that I should look into?

Your question is very hard to follow, especially due to the punctuation and grammar problems.

If you don't have bluetooth built into your car, you can get a bluetooth kit that uses the auxiliary input so you can play music and talk on the phone through your car stereo.

LOL, typing on a phone with big thumbs isnt easy, sorry spelled package wrong. I was asing if the iPhone docking station would work with the iPod. looks like a pretty nice place to keep it....I dont have this docking station in my 1 but have seen it for sale on ebay, dont know if its worth any investment...

That docking station is form fitted to a single model of iPhone, so anything like that will be obsolete if you get a new phone.

I have the iPod touch snap in adapter (less than $50 from Tischer). Works great, total integration. Only downside is it doesn't support album art on I-drive.

DO you have a part number or link for your snap in? Did you BMW come from the factory prepped for the snap in?

What do you have? If you have the USB port, you can plug in the iPod, tuck it away, and it should still have full functionality through the head-unit.

Thanks guys, I dont have the hook up for the snap in adapter. Ill just use the proper plug for the iPod. Appreciate all the help. Washed the fleet today. Love this 1 its a great driver.
