Strong showing again proving the f80 puts down a true 420whp given an f430 with headers puts down a consistent 420whp and also is 250 pounds lighter. Dct helps the m3 but nonetheless with its flat power curve making 420whp and a dct this thing really is a strong car on road. A mild tune and a 458 would be taken out.

An F430 is a slow car... not to diminish this race but by in large it is a Ferrari from 2004 w a pretty poor choice of transmission. The 458 is a much different story and there is a video floating around of an e85 F80 beating it... that was a shocker to me.

A 6mt from a roll would surely do the same with a good driver. DCT is a big deal from a dig tho. Also +100lb.

A catless f430 pits down 420whp and weighs 3300 pounds. I wouldn't call it a slow car. I wouldn't be impressed if a tuned f80 beat it but a stock f80 I think is impressive and a good comparison to another 420 whp car that is lighter.

I'm still impressed. A f430 was a super car 6 years ago.

An F430 is an entry level ferrari / exotic... one that was conceived in the early 2000s.... lets just be clear on that. The car is also nearly 100% top end, the mid range and low end having driven one is far from stellar.

Well I certainly don't think an of F430 is a super car, its an entry level exotic...

Supercar vs Hypercar is a dumb definiton any way you look at it.

First thing...the m3 (and f430) got utterly destroyed by the 911 turbo.

Second, the f430 is NOT a fast car by any means and is all top end...6000 rpms plus. Under that its utterly slow. And to boot, the transmission was pure garbage. Plus if they were able continue the F430 would pull way up top as you could see the 430 was about to start reeling that half a car back in.

Have you been in or driven a 458? The 458 is much faster car and a mild tune an m3/4 would still get destroyed. It would take a full bolt on, aggressively tuned m3/4 running 100 octane to run with a 458.

I wouldn't give a shit what BMW beat it in a roll race, I'd take an F430 over anything BMW has ever put out. There is more to a car than how fast it is from point A to point B. That "slow" Ferrari from 2004 is still much better looking; better built and provides a much greater driving experience than anything BMW puts out these days.
