Last one to join the 2015 party?

This past weekend, I placed an order on a 2015 M4 coupe and just got the production number today
Am I the last one to order a 2015 this late in the game?

Here are the specs:

Car goes into production next week (so I’m told)

…and the back-story:

It was not an easy choice, in terms of ordering a 2015, or waiting a few more months and order a 2016 model. It also didn’t help that I was interested in getting yellow stitching to match the Austin Yellow exterior paint. Since it’s a longer production run with this colored stitching, I was told it would definitely need to be a 2016 model. As you all know, the 2016 production starts in July and if my dealer could even get an early production slot, the earliest I would be able to get the car state side, would have been November/December. Just in time for New England winter. The monkey on my back was itching to get something for this summer. I give you guys/gals props for waiting that long (5-6 months) to get your custom ordered cars. Kudos!

So, after spending about 3-4 weeks calling/emailing dealers up and down the East coast, West coast and anywhere in between, I finally pulled the trigger with a BMW dealership in NH. About 90% of dealerships would not budge off the MSRP and most others about 1-2% off MSRP. I’ll spare you the negativity but by far the worst experience was with BMW Gallery in Norwood. I’d recommend staying away from that place.

I managed to get about 6% off MSRP and no other dealership came close to that. Probably not the best deal out there but I felt it was a good deal for me. Bada bam bada boom signed the papers, skipped the yellow stitching and hopefully 6-7 weeks and the car is state side.

Yes, it’s an AY. Not everyone’s one cup of tea but it’s okay. Pictures do not do this color justice and after seeing one in person I knew it was the color I wanted. Mineral White was my second favorite. MW is a classy color but just wanted something different.

Thank you to all who provided information on their deals it was a great starting point for negotiations. This forum is a great resource!

Heated steering wheel has been part of the Executive package from the beginning for US models.

Based on your sig, you have the exec package so there should be a button on the left side of your steering column to turn on the heated steering wheel.

Good for you and welcome to the AY club. I used to mock the color, but I have since changed my tune. I saw it in person and thought it looked nice, but was still going to order MW. I went to look at a MW M4 at the dealer and really just though meh. Didn't do anything for me. Decided to go AY. Bold choice, but hey sometimes you need to take a risk.

I think some are missing OP's point. He is not saying he is getting his car the latest but ordering the latest. I ordered back in March, but my ED date is in July. OP still ordered after me.

OP, I am in your shoes right now. But I am ordering M3 and debating 16 LCI vs 2015. Don't mind getting it in Oct/Nov unless the LCI changes are meh - then I am running to my dealer to get 2015 now-ish.

btw, similar experience with dealers in my area.
