Finally Ordered

Well guys, after a lot of going back and forth between options, I finally placed an order on Monday. I originally wanted Tanzanite blue but because I waited so long, they couldn't get me that color until October. I ended up going with my original color combo, mineral grey with sahkir orange. I had a very similar color on my F30 and loved it so I know I will like this one. Here is my build:

I went a little lower on the options this time around, compared to my current E92M ($73,xxx) and my F30 ($59,xxx). I even debated not getting the Executive package but after reading all of your comments on the thread I started about it, and talking with my CA, I decided that was just not the best idea. The two options I knew that I had to have were the manual transmission, and the Adaptive suspension. I personally do not care for the standard wheels so I added the 19" 437 style. I kept looking at adding other options but every time I came back to the build, I realized I was indifferent about them so I just stopped there.

I plan to use this as a journal to track my build and ask for advice or opinions whenever I can't find the answers I need.
I want to send a big shout out to my CA who was more than patient, gave me a fantastic deal, and is an overall good dude. I doubt I would've purchased if it were not for him. Also, thanks to everyone in this forum for being such a good source of information. All of you guys have helped me.

Since this is the options and pricing section, here is what I received:
MSRP: $71,900
OTD Price: $67,030
I decided to lease and that came up to $840/month including Florida taxes.

Hopefully I have a production number this Friday so that way I can start the never ending process of dialing that 800 number for updates.

I went into production on Tuesday. This build is going much quicker than my previous ones. I have also run into my first issue. When I originally placed the order, for some reason the manager who inputs the orders, decided to give me the Aluminum Blade interior trim. I caught it and they immediately changed it to the CF trim. When he did this, he forgot to add my 19" wheels onto the order. I am hoping it is not too late to put them back into the build.

I decided to add the dates that I received updates on my order status code.
#111: 6 May
#112: 8 May
#150: 19 May

Congrats! I like your color combo, MG is a great color....I would have done the same but my F30 was MG and I wanted something different.

I thought about this too. That is why I was leaning towards Tanzanite but since the color wasn't available until late summer, and my wife wanted MG, that is the path I chose.

I have the Premium sound in my E92 and in all honesty, I rarely listen to the radio. When I take my "toy" car out, all I want to hear is the engine and exhaust so I usually do not even turn on the radio. I will agree this is weird for most, but to me is was a wasted $875 that I could put towards an exhaust.

How did you get an allocation? I've been hearing that there is a hug shortage in f80 allocations. Also where are you located

I'm a resident of Florida but stationed in Texas (military). I was really tempted to do an ED, but I can be impatient.

I think there is an allocation issue for the F80's, but I ordered an F82. If you are looking for one, I believe my dealer had on F80 allocation left for 15.

The 800# told me that I have been scheduled for production, but no production date yet. Is that normal?

Yes. My M4 was scheduled for production for 6 weeks before they had a date and then it changed twice.

I'm ordering the MG/6mt as well, and I was set on the red interior until I saw it in person yesterday during my test drive. I reckon I'll just stick w the black as my F30 335 had. Congrats on the car!

FYI, Austin is by far the best city in TX..lived in north Austin when I was stationed at Hood. Good times...
