MPE now showing as an option on BMW Canada configurator

The M-Performance Exhaust with CF tips is now showing as an ordering option on the BMW Canada configurator for $4900CAD (~$4000 USD) installed.

That is a pretty sweet deal

MPE is one of the best sounding exhausts on the market for the F8X IMO. I love mine

.

At $4000USD installed with CF tips included and a full 4 year warranty, that is a relatively good deal even compared to other aftermarket exhausts.

Aftermarket rear sections that leave the cats wouldnt make gains either.

Keep in mind that it deletes the stock exhaust so essentially you're paying the marginal increase for the MPE over what the stock exhaust would cost.

This works out well for those that want to get rid of their OEM exhaust and put on the MPE and never worry about it. However, for those that wanted to sell the MPE at some point and swap to a different exhaust or sell the car, you'd have to look for a replacement exhaust in the meantime.

Side note ...

I saw that they put up the individual interiors on the BMW Canada online configurator as well

. Pretty sweet but essentially $2,000 more than the cost of the regular full leather offerings.

That is a good point.

I paid $5750CAD for my MPE installed, but I still have my old exhaust. I am pretty sure I will be able to sell the MPE for more than $850CAD when the time comes

Is this an option in the US or just a dealer installed accessory?

Also, does the MPE lose the opening/closing exhaust flaps? I'd like for it to still be tame enough to haul the wife and kid around comfortably when needed.
