About 90 days is the usual. There don't appear to be any current delays going on. Assuming you have a production number, you can track the progress on the BMW website or through their 800 number (which is more up to date than the website).

I want to keep my high residual of 65% and if the car is not here in 60 days I lose out, yes I have a production number

I was quoted the same timeframe when I ordered on 3/31. I had a production number the day that I placed my order. My CA told me that they got me the earliest production slot they could (week 17) and that I would have the car in late May.

Assuming you mean 3/27? I personally wouldn't give a deposit or "order" anything with a dealer that doesn't have an allocation.

We are in the same boat, I don't think he is in the business of lying and I did see 2 other m3s sitting there that my CA ordered for others.

It all depends on the status of allocations. I ordered an F80 (w/ carbon roof) on 3/22. My dealer was able to swap for an M3 allocation that was going into production the following week. The car finished production on 4/2 and is waiting to ship. I could have the car on the east coast by the end of April, early May the latest. I believe there were only 30 allocations left for 2015 sedans when I placed the order. Dealers have much better tracking ability so if they say May, it should be possible.

I ordered on 3/11...my CA told me I'd take delivery in about 8 weeks. I have a production# and was told my build was scheduled for week #17, so far so good.

Last week while on the phone with BMW on a separate matter, I asked them to check my cars' status and they show me as week #21 (mid-May). I called my CA and he says I am week #17...keeping my fingers crossed he is right.

If you have a production number then your CA could also have the production week. At worst they have an allocation with a general estimate for production. They should know which month the allocation came from. Considering 2015 production ends in June there are only 3 choices. If you don't start production this month, you may want to think about relocking into April's rates. They aren't much worse and if you don't get the car by May, you will be stuck with whatever May or Junes rates are.

You mean the dealer will either lower their price and honor my original monthly payment or I walk away. He told no nothing of the sort, I may know that my deal (the rates) expires because of my own homework but was never formally fully informed.

I got your message that you posted on my wall. For some reason I cannot send PM's. Send me an email (danny.wong@circlebmw.com) and I'll help you out with the info you requested or get you an allocation since I have some. Thank you

Here is what you need to do. Get your production number, call BMW's 1800 number. Speak to a rep and ask them for what status you are in either 111 or 112. Second ask what is your estimated production week.

After you get this information you can better estimate when your car will arrive.

I ordered 2/15, and the car went into production on 2/20. So I got lucky.

My car has been shipped and is already in the states. If I had not done Performance Center Delivery I would have been taking delivery this week. I have a pick up date of 4/20 which makes it about 2 months from order to delivery which is very quick.

Your production week could be next week or a month from now. So find that out and post is here.

As for residuals, lock in your April rates. This will be good for 60 days after the last day of the month, not the day you lock it in. So you'll be fine. You'll also be able to take advantage if the rates get better.

let the dealer worry about price, we agreed on an amount and how ever they need to keep me there is problem for them. Otherwise there is going to be a fully loaded yaz marina M3 will full black interior with DCT, and every option but the driver asst and CCB waiting for someone else.

Thanks for the info, I will call and report back.
