HUD fuel warning question.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with my car or if this is how all F8X function?

When I get the fuel warning in the HUD, it lights up and then goes away a few seconds later. This cycle is repeated every time the miles to empty changes. Since miles to empty is dependent on current mpg it changes all the time which make the fuel warning constantly go on and off in the HUD. It's slightly distracting and it would be better if it always stayed on after the first time until the car was re-fueled.

Does your car do the same?
