Lil Help, Manual Sport Seat Adjustment Handle.

I just mounted a fire extinguisher in my car for autocross school. See the picture below. The extinguisher is just hitting the plastic handle on the front of the seat which adjusts the front to back motion of the seat. I need the seat to be able to move forward another 3/4" to 1".

Does anyone know how this plastic handle can be removed? I was hoping there was a set screw or something accessible from the side but I cannot find one.

I want to remove it, cut the metal bar portion back one inch, and then remount the piece.

Any help would be appreciated.

No no, I give you credit. You could have been less helpful and told me to remove the handle with a sledge hammer or machete.

Have you tried looking on RealOEM? It has parts diagrams. I also like to know the price of parts I modify.
