BMW Factory Mods?

The other day I was talking to one of my friends and he was telling me about his new 335 that he leassed. The Dealership added some extra modifications to his car at his request (short Shift Kit & suede boot for the stick) and I am very curious to know if they will fit the e92 M3. My friend told me it decressed the throw about 1 inch.

I guess my main question is does anyone know if the BMW short shift will fit the e92 M3.

Also side note for the ones that already Have their e92 M3's, how do you feel about the shifter. Is the Throw to far? Just right? Is it soft or does it feel very precise? Will you be looking to get a shortshift?

Also have they released the new M3 accessories cataloge in Eurpoe? or anywhere for that matter?

I imagine there will be BMW Performance parts for the new M.

Right now BMW Performance parts are mostly for the 3ser... non 335i can get exhausts and suspension mods too...

There's also a BBK and CAI for the 3 series.

Since it is a different tranny in the M3, I doubt that the SSK will work. No factory performance parts released yet, AFAIK. Boot and knobs are probably applicable.

Yeah I really wish they would put those Recaro Spyder CS seats that they have in the tii, in the M3. That is only one of the only areas of the car i would change.

From my understanding the initial e92 M3 does not come with the M dynamic self adjusting seats? Is that true? That was one option that I liked about the e46 that when you turn the seat would adjust to support that turn.

They didn’t include that until the later models of the e46 though so might be the same addition to the e92 in later models if it’s not standard already, same goes for the heads-up display (I was really looking forward to that).

from the look of things, it doesnt look like it comes with the self-adjusting seats...but I really hope there is some way to FACTORY change the seats to ones more supportive, hopefully with some nice alcanatara inserts + steering wheel...omg i'm druling...

WHAT?! The E46 M has those seats? I was not aware of that. I thought they were M5/M6 only.

The E46 M3 never had dynamic seat bolsters. They were manually inflatable only, with the seat width adjustment option. This feature was introduced on the M5. I don't think you'll see it on the M3, and frankly think it's too gimmicky.

You know I think your right. and as you mentioned this option does come with the new E92 M3.

This is all I wanted really. Auto adjustment is to much, plus imagin if the auto adjust computer gets screwed up. Would be like two kids kicking you in the ribs and there is nothing you can do about it till you stop the car

so...anyone think they may offer any sort of tii-like seats...not necessarily recaro ultra support, but more than the already somewhat supportive stock seats...

i mean, they did for the 1 series! (unless that's just in europe..idk)
