Wrap like this?

I want to wrap my E90 M3 after seeing this factory paint frozen blue.

The question is, will the wrapping match the color in the picture? Try to get some recommendations and what to expect here before I go out talking to different shops.

based on what I've seen, you can find a wrap that'll match it, but it won't look 100% like paint.

In pictures, it'll look like factory paint, but in person, I can always tell if it's paint or a wrap.

Thanks. I know it is not gonna 100% but I don't wanna lose my factory paint, and who knows when I like my black back? :-D

I am also wondering if there is a specific name or code for this color except frozen blue. Some pictures I've seen the color is either too light or reflective compared with that picture I posted.

That is an awesome colour. I know wrapping would cost about $5000 here in Canada.

yea, that color is awesome! I would imagine you could wrap it in just about any color. I would speak with the installer to see what color options are available.

I'm sure it could be matched almost 100%.

One more question for you all, can the wrap cover dents? My rear bumper is not in perfect shape.

About 2 months ago I had my car wrapped in 3M metallic blue.

Its quite close to the above, perhaps not exactly.

I would HIGHLY recommend using this color. It looks amazing on the vehicle.

I'm not one of those to care, but just as a gauge... You wouldnt believe the number of 'stares' the car gets. The color suits it perfectly.

I get all sorts of weird (and sometimes annoying) gestures from double thumbs up to a "im not worthy, im not worthy" kneel + bow. Never had that prior when the car was wrapped in 3M pearl white.

To put it into perspective, about 5 minutes after picking the car up after the wrap was complete, on the way home I had a gentlemen pass me... come to a screeching halt... reverse... and stop beside me and look at the car and shake his head as he smiled.

Oh and a final note, when I went in to select the color (first meet), there were a number of metallic blue colors... I chose one that was slightly colder (eg: less "red"). They had a few to select from... From what I recall there was about 4 nice blues to choose from.

You probably wont find an EXACT match to the frozen blue BMW... but I'm sure you'll be happy with the result.

I really like that color! What is the 3M color code for that vinyl?

my understanding is it was 3m 1080 matte metallic blue.

will confirm with the folks who did the wrap, but i'm 99% sure that was it.

if you are considering a change, you will not be disappointed.

only downside i can think of is that it does make the car a bit more toy like, but then again, this ain't no 7 series.

also worth noting, depending on lighting, it actually gives off a nice purple tint... hard to explain in words, but in evening light gives it a nice pearl like purple tint.

Wraps are a great way to go to try an new color and to protect the factory paint.

I'm thinking of having my bumper resprayed and thought of wrapping the car has crossed my mind. What's the price for wrapping an entire car? Is washing the car easy to do? Life expectancy?
