Front License Plate Adapter
Has anyone come across a company/website that is making front license plate adapters for the new M3/3 series? I'm currently in Germany with a May delivery, and I'd like to prevent them from screwing a front license plate holder into the front bumper if at all possible. Originally from Florida where front license plates are not needed...I'd prefer not to have screw holes all up in the face.

I think I'd just buy the standard BMW one. The holder - if like other BMWs - is held in place with a combination of integral hooks that hook to the underside of the bumper cover and two screws. Just avoid using the screws and use tape instead. Should work temporarily

Well I ask because I know some cars have tow hook adapters to where you replace the tow hook with a pole that allows you to mount a front plate holder that never even touches the bumper. Seeing photos of the front bumper on the new M3 looks like the tow hook location is off center.
South, do you know if it's allowable to have your front license plate off center in Germany? |

Cops here in NJ are gonna have a field day with you. Id like to do w/o a front plate too but dealing with the law is just not worth it...

well if you didnt know, it is against the law in NJ to not have a front license plate. If you get pulled over and tell the cops a BS excuse they will just tell you tough luck and to put it on the dash until you get it mounted (happened to 2 of my friends) . If you happen to roll by a cop whos having a bad day or needs a some tickets to fill quota then your out of luck...
