Cool Escort Max

This is not really a BMW related question. But, I figured someone on here would know.

There was a thread on here. The OP mentioned that Best Buy had the Escort Max on sale for $329. I scooped one up and plugged it into my Acura TSX. The first day that I started using it, I got 2 false Ka occurrences. On each, 4 separate Ka bands were being "alerted".

I called Escort and they told me that "you should not be getting any false Ka signals. I suggest you return the unit at Best Buy." I'd like to avoid that route since BB will probably not be carrying this product any longer.

Do any other Max users have this issue?
