Personally I think anything with a concave looks great on these cars, much like the factory Competition wheels

What wheels do you have? ZCP's always look great on these cars. Occasionally you can find some being sold on here at reasonable prices. I have the GTS ZCPs(black) on mine. But like was mentioned before anything concave looks awesome on the M3 and be sure to put some wheel spacer behind them to make them look even better, 12mm range for starters.

12mm rear for stock setup? No rubbing or anything?

Yep, no issues here. However you can play it safe and take a quick measurement just to be on the safe side. Most that I read about have 12mm on the rear and 15mm on the front, as is my setup. Some even have 18mm on the front but I would be careful with that amount. Keep your roads in mind.

I'm running 12mm on all four corners and it looks just right. The 3mm more in front is personal preference.

I have 15mm front/12mm rear on the gunmetal 18's dropped on swift springs. looks great. rubs a little once i put brand new tires on. Will probably try 12/10. stock height shouldn't be a problem though

BBS FI's or HRE P101s will give a great look. Just make sure you put them on some wider tires. Mine are 305 rears.
