One daytime running light dead

Hi everyone. I got an indicator on my dash today about a dead daytime running light. I did a search but didnt see anything specific tied to replacing just the daytime light. Anyone have experience and can provide some guidance?

typically this is the angel eye bulb. I assume your running stock bulbs, they're pretty cheap to replaced. Easy to install as well.

it'll be the angel light or the parking light bulbs you have to replace. Very easy, here's a DIY:

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...lb+replacement

this one replaces the stock bulbs with a different aftermarket bulb, but the steps are exactly the same.

Yes, you can replace just the daytime running light. Just had mine replaced today, went ahead and replaced both of them at the same time.

At O'Reilley Auto Parts you will find it listed as the cornering light Sylvania Osram - Cornering Light
Part Number: H8BP

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...1570&ppt=C0010

This is the same as the original bulb for $14.99, to repair your angle eye problem. The bulb they have listed for the daytime driving lights is not correct for the angle eye location. This bulb is the same as the BMW bulb and has worked great in my car for several years.

Sounds like a perfect time to upgrade to either the LUX angel eyes. Thats what prompted my upgrade, one of the oem angel eye bulbs burnt out. Loving my LUX 160s!!

I recommend:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I don't like how much yellow are in the stock bulbs but I'm not a big fan of the LED look either. These bulbs are a great compromise. These Philips bulbs throw off very white light without any hint of blue. Makes the car look updated without looking aftermarket.

About 12,000 miles and 3.5 years ago I'd installed the LUX H8 160 bulbs from LuxAngelEyes. One of them finally failed recently and I replaced them with the H8 ZEVO TWIN bulbs by Sylvania. If someone has a similar problem (has a burned out H8 160) and wants to just replace the one bulb yet have a color match, contact me. For shipping + a cup of coffee, it's yours.
