Is anyone running Dinan Stage 1 on track?

Considering Dinan Stage 1. I wanted to see if anyone was running this on track and if its worth it and working well? Any noticeable time difference to stock?

Yes I track my M4 with the Dinan tune. I have one track before and after comparison so far:

WHP East Track best lap times (official transponder times):
Stock 1:05.498
Dinan 1:05.376
Car was exactly equipped with Carbotech pads, R888 tires. Tires were brand new for stock track day, but not much difference in lap times on this small tight track. In fact, I'm still quicker in my 218whp E36 track car around this course (1:05.138). Fwiw The Dinan M4 "feels" faster and gave no mechanical issues at all.

I will have another comparison on a faster, bigger track (Arizona Motorsports Park) in two weeks. Did a 1:55.00 with stock tune, but I'd expect the Dinan to give a better advantage and maybe shave a second off.

Thanks! I really appreciate the tested results. Looking forward to hearing your track times from Arizona. Can I ask what your wheel/tire setup is? I'm trying to decide on a wheel and tire configuration but really haven't found solid info to go on.

Eager to hear more. I am also interested in the Dinan tune.

1:54.352 my best lap today at AMP. First lap of third session, then "chassis malfunction / limp mode" cuts day a bit short. Easily 1:53.xx in my hands with more track time. Code TBD, suspect MDM sensor?

Much more in my full report tomorrow, including videos and even faster laptimes in my M4 by my advanced driving instructor with me white knuckling in passenger seat. This is a guy that has raced many BMW and other cars (20+ years), but this was his first experience on the track with an F8x car. I'll give his raw, spur of the moment reactions/comments in my report.

Based on your prev post I'm assuming AMP is Arizona Motorsports Park.

For those of us on the east coast that's Atlanta Motorsports Park.

For the comparison laps you do have, what was your peak speed with and without the Dinan?

Limp mode . Could it be a result of the tune ?

What is an MDM sensor? I didn't think there were any special sensors for MDM... DSC sensor maybe...

Looking forward to your detailed review .

Doubt it's the tune, since said Chassis malfunction not Drivetrain Malfunction, but difficult to speculate. DSC maybe, but was always off when driving on the track? Limp mode put it back on.

I'll put it on jacks today and visually inspect while switching pads, wheels back to stock.

Yes, Arizona Motorsports Park. Sorry, the other AMP much better known. Link to NASA AZ records in full report which is now up.

AMP looks like a great track! I would like to plan a trip out there from CA. How do I see your track times on NASA TT?

Yes, great track. Used sparingly because of noise restrictions unfortunately (94dB). Most events are just one day events, no Sundays usually.

It was a ProAutoSports event, so times are posted with them.

I was running with Orange, #82 car. 11:40 session was Leroy driving my car, so disregard his ridiculously low times. Best lap time for me was 13:00 session first lap, then started to have chassis malfunction codes.

I posted a link to NASA records in my review just for comparison sake, since not many people know this track.

Even with the chassis malfunction codes you were able to put down some great lap times comparable to everyone else! Looks like a really fun track -- checked their website out. I've got to plan a trip out there when work slows down. I had to cancel my first track day with the M4 because of work. I had registered for Auto Club Speedway here in CA not too far from where I live: http://speedventures.com/events/eventdetail.aspx?id=508
I spent a lot of time on this track on my 2007 R6 until my wife made me sell it. One too many trips to the ER I still miss it so I'm hoping the M4 brings back some of the fun without the falls

Update: Chassis Malfunction just stability control computer being stupid. Nothing to do with tune or drivetrain, but annoying nonetheless.
