EQ settings for BavSound -HK upgrade
Now that a few of us have upgraded to BavSound system; what are your EQ settings?
So far, I kept my EQ flat across the board with Soundlogic on and it sounds way better than the stock HK system! I don't have the gear or the ear to do a proper job like AustinJerry! http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ettings&page=3 |

Mine's pretty flat, and I have found I enjoy it better with soundlogic off. No claims about the purity of the music or anything, just, to me, it sounds better with soundlogic off.

Who did the installation and were you guys worried about broken clips occurring, additional rattles, etc.? I know from my e46 I had rattles moreso after messing with them.

Did mine myself. Pretty easy. If you do it yourself, you can take time and make sure it is done right.

Bavsound speakers sound great. EQ is flat. I've adjusted the fader 3 clicks to the rear. I have the HK and noticed that due to the clarity of the bavsound speakers the treble was too pronounced in the front. This could be due to the additional tweeter in the center channel vs the stock system. Adjusting the bass could've worked as well. I never tried that. I like the sound deadening it hasn't diluted the growl of the car as far as I can tell, it has made the bass much tighter.

Doesn't add an extra tweeter as oem logic 7 has a tweeter thete. Why don't you adjust treble rather than fade all sound? Seems silly. I was thoroughly disapoint ed with bavsound on my e92. I'd say their quality I'd not better than stock

After driving around with the Stage One and the new under seat subs for awhile here's my eq settings that I like:
Treble 0 Bass +4 Logic 7 off 100 Hz +8 200 Hz +7 500 Hz +5 1 kHz +5 2 kHz +2 5 kHz +5 10 kHz -3 I mainly listen to my AAC files downloaded to the hard drive; LARGE variety of music. I'm not a huge audiophile but I know how my favorite bands should sound and these settings are the closest I've found! Enjoy!
