Interior door led ambient lights

Does the M3/m4 have the same strip of led ambient lights on the interior doors as the f30?

I had a 2013 f30 335i with black interior and while it had this feature, the light was never that bright on the dark colored interior (even if turned up in i drive).

I have a loaner 328i (2015) with a lighter interior until my f80 comes (friday!!!), and i noticed the lights are way brighter on the tan color...

i have a SS interior coming so just curious if the Ms have same strip, and if it'll be as such, if so cool! Here's a pic of it on the tan color...the light shows way brighter than it ever did on my black leather interior.

I can confirm on the F82 that there is ambient lighting that is adjustable between amber and white.

how do you adjust it to white? mine is always amber... I tried switching that sport mode or whatever... but it's amber again.

Also footwell is too dim.

those with SS or sonoma interior, care to comment on brightness levels? I was surprised how much a diff the lighter color leather makes on how bright that strip can get.

it almost transforms it to a near gimmicky level. Wherease on my black interior it was even at full brightness, truly an ambient feature you could barely notice.

Should be an option in your connected drive! Amber is called "Classic". I believe you just need to change it to "White"

White is actually called 'Sport'

I love 'Classic' as it highlights my lovey SO interior

Its in Settings, Lights I think?

I'm sure you know but if its too dim you adjust that little scroll wheel near the door in the same mini panel as the light rotary switch and rear fog light.

Sorry not trying to be a jackass, that's the interior light adjuster.

Don't forget about all 5 of us with Amaro Brown I'll snap a pic later I think the orange classic lights look awesome on it.

Garage List
i think it depends on the interior color. I have black and the Amber color actually projects more light than the White light. I prefer the white though so i just deal with it.

The door lights are pretty bright, but footwell are kind of dimmed. I coded my I drive where I have a dimmer option and it's on full bright... Still not satisfied with footwell.

Also, I do get white when I switch it to sport, but amber looks better on SO.. Plus white is kind of hard to see when it reflects on SO.

I've had the car for months. Never seen it.

I'm really starting to realize how little attention I pay on this kind of things.

Does this light turn on when you open the door or is it on all the time?

Yeah, and I have too much teach I my door pockets, I doubt I could see a light even if I tried. I found out I have a mirror in the sunshade a month back or so, I think I'm no good with interiors.
