Winter tires?

I should be picking up my 2015 X6 in about 1-2 weeks, it is coming with the summer performance run-flats w/469M 20x10 275/40 R20 and 20x11 315/35 R20.
I have a set of Vossen CVT's (20x10.5 and 20x10) that I plan to use for my winter tire set but so far we can only find one winter tire that matches the stock sizes, they are the Pirelli Ice and Snow tire.
I would like to look into other options for my winter set and it doesn't have to be staggered either.
What winter tire and size would you recommend?

Thanks,
Chad

Pirelli winter 255/50 R19 excellent tires and perfomance for both Highway and snow or ice roads
IMO winter driving is better with profiles under 275. Above you loose grip

if your looking for a set of snow tires that aren't to expensive then check out the Nitto NT90w winter tires. A set for our 20" wheels run $1000

Looking for something to fit in the 20" rims mentioned, not 19".
Thanks!

R2 is a great tire. So is Nokian's Hakkapeliitta 7.

I know you're asking for other options, but FWIW, I have the Pirelli Scorpion Ice and snow on the 469 wheels and I am happy with them. Work great in snow and ice and don't seem to be much of a compromise when it's dry.

I'm sure they're great tires, it's just that with the sizes to replace my stock set-up (staggered) will be more expensive. I was thinking of just going with a non-staggered set-up and looking for suggestions for a good size and snow tire for that.
I think its due to the 315/40 R20 tires in the back, there is only like 2 options in snow tread for that size so it limits my options to go with an exact match.

Thanks!

Winter tire options

I have the 20" staggered set up on my X5 and I'm using Toyo Observe GSi-5 and have been thoroughly impressed. I previously had Michelin X-Ice on my RR Sport and these are far superior even with the huge rears. Excellent stopping on ice and snow and the don't feel "mushy" in the warmer weather.
