How do the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 behave on the street?

Looking at these for the track, but I want to know about their street behavior. Are they okay in the rain? Is the ride brutal?

Thanks.

I've heard they are terrible in the rain and require lots of heat to be effective.......Phil

Sounds like you are referring to the Pilot Sport Cup? The PSC2 is supposed to be much improved on both counts you are referring to. Also, supposedly Michelin is revamping the PSC2 line to a much larger range of sizes and TW200 in order for it to be a competitor in street tire (stock) SCCA autocross this season (but this remains to be seen so far).

If its anything like an NT01, probably OK in the rain but no good in standing water and cold+wet conditions.

That would be nice. The PSC2 size options are terrible. It's laughable that a serious track tire would be offered predominantly in 19" and 20" sizes with almost nothing in 18.
