Oh, damn! They must've updated their site/code in the last hour or two. I ordered the 9500ci and a buddy of mine ordered the Max2 literally right before I created this thread and simply used CES15. Apologies for that!

Anytime! I'm going with BMW North Houston for installation. They actually sell 9500ci's and one *might* be able to haggle with them to bring the unit cost down to $1,300-$1,400 (excl. installation costs, which should run about $300). I'll also go with them to install my dash cam (BlackVue DR600GW-HD) and Dinan tune (assuming I tune after vehicle break-in).

You're basically buying the lowest rung of Jamming [or shifting as Escort says for lidar] there is.
The 9500ci/Sti-R plus are still top of the line for the radar category, but if you want the best it would rank as follows 1. ALP [picks up even the new stalker LIDAR guns] 2. Laser Interceptors [ been #1 for a lonnnng time] 3. Blinders 4. Shifting bundles |

In that case they'd be #2 They've still not gotten the firmware out for the new stalker gun that ALP has I'm sure Cliff will get it out soon.

In that case they'd still be #2 I've not talked to cliff in awhile but I'm not aware of them putting out a firmware update for the new Stalker guns. But I'm sure he'll get on that, how that impacts Escorts deal I have no idea. |

Yeah, I agree. The downside to Escort licensing LI is that they'll lag behind LI's updates a bit given the "middleman" approach. However, I'm good with that given how much I like the simplicity/all-in-one approach of the 9500ci.

Aside from the above product, any one have any suggestions for a cheaper dash unit ?
A buddy of mine gave me a reference to the Cobra XRS 9570...Anyone use this or something similar? http://www.amazon.com/Cobra-XRS9570-.../dp/B004RO3QNI |

I wouldn't go lower than an Escort Passport 9500ix for city use or a Valentine 1 for highway use. A lot of guys run V1's in the city with no complaints, but it would drive me mad due to false alerting.
