Night vision failure

Today, after doing just 800km with my new F15, my Night Vision failed.

So I thought restarting the car would clear the error but it didn't happen. Then I tried to clean the sensor, but that didn't help either. Then all of a sudden my iDrive screen changed to one saying "Starting Night Vision". And nothing happened after. So I called my dealer and they said that may be the night vision just froze. But that sounds ridiculous, right?

Like on NYE it was -15C and night vision worked. Today was around 0C and sunny and it stopped.

So anybody seen this? I'm going to the dealer if it doesn't go away till tomorrow, but its really irritiating.

The night vision camera is heated - so the ambient temperature shouldn't be a problem. As you say, you've already had it working in -15 degrees. Sounds like it has a fault to me

Warm the car up in a shopping center garage, cold temperatures put stress on a car. If it doesn't clear, take it to the dealer.

Tried that and it didn't work. It's going to the dealer for check up as soon as the actuators for my 4 doors arrive. Will keep you guys posted on what it was. Thanks!
