Second projector bulb inside each headlight?

I swapped out the factory angle eyes with OSS headlights and swapped out the factory yellow Xenons for some Osram white bulbs.

As I was leaving the house the other day, I realized I forgot something in the house, so I got out of the car while it was still running. When I came back to the car, I noticed that the inner most of the two lenses of the headlights appeared to have small yellow lights projecting out of them. It was unmistakeable next to the white Osram Xenons and OSS angels.

I always thought those lenses did not light up and were just for show. Are there bulbs in there that I need to swap out? If so, what bulbs do you need?

For reference, I am referring to the left most of the two lenses in this picture. (The right one is the one with the Xenon bulb.)

Yes, it is an H3 bulb. It functions as a cornering lamp, activating in low speed turns when your signal is activated or when the car is in reverse. See part number 7 in the realm link...

Thanks, bud. Much appreciated. I thought I was going crazy.

Any recommendation on a good H3 bulb that will match the Osram DS1 (which I believe is rated at 5000k)?

Also, is it as easy to swap out as the H8 bulb?

Good question! I've never swapped the cornering bulb as it is so rarely used. EAS offers a GP Thunder H3 bulb in several temps on their website. I'm sure there are others out there as well... Do a search but one DIY showed the cornering bulb being changed at the same time as the H8 (angel eye) bulbs...

I just ordered some GP Thunder H3s from E92Lighting.com in 5800k should be a decent match. I found a DIY that looks pretty easy. Thanks again for the help, kscarrol!
