Driver Assistant Warnings in HUD

I tried searching but missed existing threads.

When BMW says that HUD offers "Driver Assistant Warnings" (http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/t...p_display.html - and wondering what information the 120 in green) is this limited to "Collision Warnings" (2015 X5 manual, p. 158) or is there anything comparable to alerts like the yellow triangle in the mirrors?

This video (39s) by BMW seems to show the kind of lane departure info I would like to see in HUD but I have not noticed up to this point so is it operative in the F15?

On a related note, just curious about how the contents of the HUD in this video at the 2:05 mark like entertainment that I have yet to see:

BTW, my HUD settings have checks in all four boxes.

1st video: I don't see any lane departure indicator on HUD, are you referring to the lines showing up with car? That's Active Stop and Go Cruise Control option.

2nd video: When you are listening to your music, using scroll wheel on the steering wheel, my HUD scrolls through the music in that folder just like in the video. Doesn't yours do that? Same thing with FM, scrolls through stations. When the vehicle is not running, it displays this information in dash.

So it would seem I simply have not driven enough miles yet to see the features that are available and to better identify what I do see in these videos. Thanks for the clarification.

When the manual (p. 129) says HUD can do "Congestion Assistant", what is that?

For the first time today I noticed Auto Start circle warning on my HUD, I think it means I put the vehicle in Park without turning it off? I noticed it when I got back in the car, it was there for a split second before I hit the ignition. I get warnings all the time, but Xeno is referring to lane departure which is not a standard option on HUD in USA, same as turn signal indicators or blind spot indicators.

I guess it is actually the blind spot indicators that I would like some help with. The small yellow triangle on the mirror is not something that easily gets my attention since I am also looking at two radar detectors and Escort Life on my iP. Can this feature be coded into the HUD?

I don't think I'd like BSW in the HUD. Those flash a lot when driving on the highway. They could be distracting with them in your face when you don't intend to change lanes.

I have my mirrors set for blind spots. I trust my eyes first, then check the BSW if I don't see anything. I thought that I'd hate the BSW but its turned out to be useful.

Green circle 120 is what the cruise control is set at.

LDW comes on when driver appears to have made an unintentional lane change as evidenced by lack of turn indicator/signal stalk. Hence the display.

LDW works great if marked lanes are clear and not snow covered.

BSW (blind spot warning triangle), I think is in the correct location side mirrors as that is where we check to see if it is clear. It does not recognize an unloaded trailer ( 2 story) that is used to carry autos. I find BSW works better from when a car approaches/passes me rather than when I approach/pass a car.

Blind Spot vibrates the steering wheel if you switch lanes legally (with turn signal) so try not to switch lanes without steering, so you can actually use the vibration if the triangle is not visible.

I rarely forget to use the turn signal when I change lanes but on the open road driving 100s of miles in a day(like I will be doing next week), there are times during congested traffic when people are passing on the left and right so I would like some assistance in my 'blind spots'.

Blind Spot Warning does not function on congested traffic. you would have to code it to work on slower speeds. That's one of the first things I will be coding, Blind Spots active at slower speeds.

Sorry, but I didn't mean slower speeds but interstate speeds like 85+ mph.
