Logos on M3/M4
I haven't posted in a very long time, since i received my E93 M3 in 2012 .
I have been reading as much as I can about the new F80 M3/M4 since my lease will be up in 2015 . I have never had a bias toward any of the top end European brands, but my heart is with my E93. The majority of everything i have read about the new BMW line is getting beyond a joke, this takes the cake. http://blog.caranddriver.com/the-num...is-staggering/ |

I can't imagine that's all that different from the E9x models. Many of these are on the underside of the car stamped on various parts. I've noticed similar ///M logos when under my car.
Maybe a resident gear-head can confirm the actual number on our cars. |

"As it turns out, the car’s underside is where most of its M-ness resides."
So, perhaps part stamping makes it easier to build.

While the growing numbers of plastic bages on the outside to me is starting to be overdone, I think the marking on the various ///M specific components under the car is fine. Those are not for bragging but to me even makes the build to appeal more solid.

It's for ID purposes to differentiate the parts from the reg e9x chassis. Not like many are visible anyways. Get under your car, they're all over the plastic panels, rear toe arms, etc.
