Part number for E90 M3 LCI Kidney grill

Hi guys,

Just hoping if someone with a E90 M3 LCI has the BMW Part Numbers for the OEM Kidney Grills, as per the pic below?

Its the one with the chrome surround and 14 black slats.

Strangely, my dealer has tried 2 sets of kidney grills and none of them fit. They have tried 51137201967 and 51137201968 (Left and right), but do not fit.

Thanks

what? weird, LCI shouldn't matter, all 2007-2013 models have the same kidney grill part.

The pre LCI M3's and very early LCI's left the factory with all chrome kidney grills:

maybe in the UK, here in the US all E9x M3s have the same chrome kidney grills regardless of model year, I wouldn't know why your dealer can't get it to fit on your bumper.

doesn't make sense, the bumper didn't change throughout the model years...the kidney grills are the exact same for all M3s in the world...I'm at work, so can't look up the P/N for you, but it's on www.realoem.com if you want to search for the number.

My guess is, they didn't get the right part number. if they did and still can't get it to fit, then

According to realOEM, the M3's part numbers are:

08 Grille w chrome frame, left 1 From:09/2009 51137157275
08 Grille w chrome frame, right 1 From:09/2009 51137157276

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...21&hg=51&fg=15

I selected Euro spec right hand drive.

btw, your dealer looked up a non-M3 3-series LCI kidney part number:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...40&hg=51&fg=20

01 Grille w chrome frame, left 1 09/2008 51137201967 $59.34

01 Grille w chrome frame, right 1 09/2008 51137201968 $59.34

OP, your dealer must of gotten confused?!
Tell them to look it up again but for the M3 and not the 3 series.

I made the same mistake when i first got my E90.
Pulled up part numbers via year/model (2011 M3 Sedan) selection from the official shopbmwusa site and even their [official] online shop system mistakenly gave me the callout for the E90 LCI 3-series grills.

Just remember the E9x M3 LCI didn't receive the same front cosmetic changes as the series version, meaning that the grilles for the M3 are the same from 2008-2013 coupe or sedan withstanding.

That's brilliant - thanks.
I'll pass those part numbers onto them tomorrow and hopefully these ones will fit

Not true. My 2008 came with an all chrome grill (both slats and grill border) while later model years (I believe in 2010 or so) came with black slats and chrome borders.

will you also provide an appropriate level of verbal and/or physical abuse to them?

are they port or dealer installed add-on options? I was always under assumption OEM black grills and gills were dealer installed options.

I am not talking about the all black performance grills.

Here is a 2008 grill

Here is the newer style

See how the 2008 grill slats are chrome but the newer version grill slats are black?
