Snow Wheel/Tire Package
I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a snow wheel/tire package that is off of a '12 X5 for my '15 X5. (We got the awesome 451 wheels and then realized with the help of this forum that they could be dangerous in the snow. - Especially since we live on a hill!) The ones we are looking at are style 209 Wheels. I am pretty confident that they will fit but does anyone know if the TPMS is the same on the 2015 as it was on the '12 and if not, what is involved in switching them out? (Cost and ? Will that need to be done at dealership?) Lastly, anyone have the Tire Protection package and then damage a snow tire on an OEM (but not purchased from BMW) rim?
Thanks for advice!! |

@X5BRETT335, first off, the TPMS from the '12 is different than the '15.
You will need to get the 2014+ TPMS in order to work on the F15 X5. Here is the link to my online store. http://www.rgsportshop.com/index.php...product_id=503 You will need to get the tire dismounted to replace the TPMS. Any tire shops should be able to do it. As far as the wheels, if it came off the X5, then it will fit.
