BMW X6 Design Pure Extravagance
I think the new X6 looks WAY better than the previous one. It looks a bit smaller, sportier and more agressive. The overall lines have improved a lot.
I'd definitely pick the M-package, perfect. What do you think? Filmed at the BMW Brand Store in Brussels, Belgium.

To be honest, new X6 reminds me of X4 a lot.

I think X4 interior is just left over E70/E71 interior, recycled into X4.

the back looks to soft, the old one was a sharper and more aggressive design and it differed more from the X5, now they are too similar in the front and it looks like a hatchback version of the x5 not an individual model. The old X6 was something of an icon I don’t think this car setting the same standard..

I do suggest proper placement of the side mirrors so that you can see blind spots. A backup camera is essential. It was standard on the E71, but they've decoupled it for the F16 (along with other stuff). Personally I don't think was right thing to do. No one buying this car should really be given an option to not have a backup camera. Its definitely more restricted than the X5, but it is less restricted than many other cars. For instance the 3Series coupe (before they were 4Series). I had one of those as a loaner once and with its slit rear-view view and tiny side mirrors I felt really vulnerable. That's a car really in need of a back-up camera. |

As others have mentioned, the interior of the X4 is a mash between the E71 and the spartan interior of an X3. If you are used to the luxury of the 5 class, the X4 interior is really a let down. Also, for the E71 vs F16: unless you know what to look for, the difference is really only evident when you are looking at them side-by-side. When I was picking up my car, I saw an X6 on the lot from probably 30 yards away (rear quarter view). I was trying to figure out if it was an old or new one. My only clue that it was the new one was the crease on the body (two instead of one). When I see my F16, it really doesn't scream to me "that's a different car!" than my E71 that I drove for 3y. Well, except the new one is white and the old one was Deep Sea Blue. Even though the F16 is only ever-so slightly larger than the E71, it feels extra lots bigger to me. It has to be the transition from dark car to white one. If you compare the X4 to the X6, yes the X6 is more massive. If you compare the X5 to the X6, the X6 is less massive (than the E70, not the E53). |

The rear visibility pic you posted of F16 looks a lot worse than the E71 and F26, how can they go backwards? Last edited by Bimar; 12-18-2014 at 09:29 AM.. |

X4 does indeed look a lot like thr X6 from the outside, I know cars and BMW in particular pretty well and even I find it hard to tell if it's an X4 or X6, until you see them next to each other of course.
The interior is very nice, X4 interior doesn't seem too different from the X5/6 imo but I haven't driven one yet. Rear view camera is indeed a must-have and should be standard and not optional...
