voltage when vehicle is running? I'm getting 13.3 !?!?
replaced battery,alt.,starter. car eventually dies because its not being charged. everything is factory. any advice?

dealer did it. i asked before leaving when i picked it up and the service rep. said yes. driving there it was at a steady 13.0 im going to assume the dme is the next COA.....

Something is not right, you should see about 14+ volts with the engine running.
What was the reason to replace the Battery, alternator and starter? Have you asked the dealer that did the work if it had correct voltage when they got done with the work? |

Perhaps the IBS (intelligent battery sensor) aka the negative battery cable is the culprit here. Are all the connections tight and connected near the battery? Are the connections tight at the B+ jump post on the engine bay? Is the engine ground cable to the chassis tight and clean? Some voltage drop tests should be next to check to see where the problem lies, provided the IBS is functioning properly.

Unless all of those things were replaced under warranty, I'd be asking the service manager some serious questions as to why they keep throwing things at the problem if the issue still exists and having to pay out of pocket for some poorly done diagnostics.
It could be something different causing the issue but it seems unlikely. |
