Post-PCD 1200 mile service help

I accumulated ~ 720 miles on my ED trip in October, and will need to get my 1200 mile service done somewhere around the middle of my trip from Spartanburg to Dallas (~ 950 miles) this Friday through the weekend.

Trying to get some advice on dealers like Tom Williams (which I found a negative review on already on here), Townsend, and BMW of Montgomery in AL and Herrin-Gear or Sunbelt BMW in MS.

I want to call ahead to make sure they have the kit needed, but wanted to check with you guys in case some of you have already had the service done at one of these dealers. Thanks for your help.

I'm interested in this too. I am in a situation where if I don't get the service done out of state during a road trip I will probably be at 1400-1600 before I get it. My CA and SA say this isn't a big deal at all but everyone here on the forums seems to think otherwise.

Still interested in people's thoughts on this, but I think I am just going to do a late 1200 mile service at my local dealer when I get it back to Dallas. Sure, it will incur more miles, but I think if I stick to break-in procedures until I get the service done it should be fine. I feel better going to a dealer I know and being able to go back and do follow-up if needed, then do it passing through with a dealer that may not have done the service yet.
