Advice on 08 M3
Just wanted to say thanks to this forum for fantastic information.
I'm currently looking at an 08 M3 coupe, 6-speed with 39k miles. Fully loaded, other than no carbon fiber roof. Dealer is looking for $36k and quoted me the following for an extended warranty through easy care: 1 year/12K miles..$2685.00 2 year/24K miles..$3464.00 3 year/36K miles..$4385.00 All of those include essentially full warranty with a $100 deductible. What do you guys think? Essentially this will be my DD. Have done my research, but do think this is a good deal. Any advice would be appreciated guys. Thanks again. |

There are better deals for warranty for stock cars. Check the usaa thread.

I don't think it's worth it. The main thing that goes wrong in these cars are the rod bearings, that's a ~2000 dollar job at then as long as you keep up with maintenance you should be fine, yes little thing will pop up from time to time but nothing that I think make the warranty worth it, unless you get very unlucky. You can also try to find a higher mileage new model that's certified.
