Quick Question!

Hey out there in internet land!

Just wanting to understand if it is Difficult/Expensive or Easy/Cheap to remove the E92 M3 Primary CATS and install some new Test Pipes.

Any advice/info regarding expected costs or time to complete GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks all!

PS. Happy Thanksgiving to all you 'merican BMW owners!

It's easy... Metal saws-all, jack the car up, measure, cut, bolt up test pipes, slide on clamps, tighten clamps. Took me 2 hours. I wouldn't pay someone more than $250 to install them, I've heard of people having it done cheaper.

+1, getting the initial cut straight and in the right location is primary challenge.

Just go to a small mom&pops shop somewhere? It's not that complicated of a job to do.

Thanks everybody - gave me good appreciation of what is important (measurement, straight cuts!) and a good price point for any quotes I get back.

I think I will press with the purchase of the Test pipes and tune - now, what does everyone think of including a X-pipe? Any tone/rasp issues?
...I am currently running BMW M Perf Exhaust.

Cheers!
