Getting ready to place M4 order. ? about getting exterior/interior in SO

Hi folks,

I plan on placing an ED order next week for an M4. A month ago I saw a Sakhir Orange (SO) exterior with Sakhir Orange full leather interior at the BMW Plant in SC (annual BMW event). I was already leaning toward SO exterior but figured I would go with all black leather. I currently have a Black Sapphire 335 with Black leather. Always thought it was a great look but after seeing the M4 SO combo in person, I thought the interior matching color really complimented the SO exterior. I haven't seen any other cars with this combo and this one was locked so couldn't see it from the driver's perspective. I have read on the forums that many feel that the Sakhir Orange interior with the contrast stitching is more upscale than straight black. Any negative thoughts on having both a SO exterior with SO interior? Would that be too much or could there be a problem with exact shade of red matching (not that I'm too picky with that kinda thing)??

I know this is a matter of personal opinion.... but.... just curious

Almost did it. Ended up ordering BSM/SO, production should start any day now. I haven't seen SO in person which prolly swayed my order, and there's not much contrast with the taillights, but in pictures SO/SO looks great. Good luck, I was also scared Id get bored of it.

Personal opinion... I couldn't live with it. I also went with the black interior so I may be the wrong person.

Interesting that you noted that the shades may not match, I think this would hold true unless the leather changes colors like a chameleon as well. oooh maybe this should be an option

They are not the same shade. One is Sakhir Orange Metallic and one is just Sakhir Orange. I have SO/SO combo being delivered in about 10 days. Many on the forum have it and love it.

They even look different on the my bmw page.

Hmm... OK so really it doesn't matter if the shade of red is a little different. It sounds like in your mind it could be better that way.

Imo the seats look more red. In any decent light the car looks orange. In the dark they probably almost match.

And yes i think its a good thing.

If you're sold on the SO exterior (and I love it - don't have it, but love it) then why no SO interior? Just throw 'em and on the table with that car.

I have the SO interior and was worried about it even after having seen it ... but for me it was the only option: I have a light ext color so SS was out, don't like beige, have a 'vert so no black, so SO.

Once I drove in the car for a day or two i really liked the color ... it's bold but I like it. I would have zero worries about SO/SO

I have SO/SO and love it…there is just the right combination of black accents, black carpet, CF and SO leather that it is not overwhelming. Here are a couple of pics inside with direct sun and some shadows…

Everyone I have had in the car loves the combo and many have commented that all black would have been too much. Plus, I did not get black b/c I am in FL and it would probably be much hotter.

The same lups who drives a three/ four series?! The same who might have said the exhaust system ordered was about 500? Yeah, I would probably advice her to show up here to extort goodies for herself from the deal!

In this Shakira is the role model, not me, get him to explain how to handle wives, I can barely keep up with my own net of lies when it comes to tuning and prices. He had the sense to order it exactly how the wife wanted. Learn from him guys!
