E90 LCI Conversion Issue

Hey guys, just finished up the install of my LCI trunk and tails onto my 2008 E90 M3 all went well for the most part.

After the install, I checked all the lights, and naturally, the reverse lights were not illuminating. So I did the wire swap as mentioned in this post: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...5&postcount=12 however, my reverse lights now seem to be constantly on, not only when I place the car in reverse... Did I do something wrong?

Any help is appreciated!

I completed the conversion 6 days ago, and I too used the thread you mentioned, and had the same issue.

Last post, this thread, has the correct sequence.

Thanks for the reply, Is that not the same sequence as the link I posted? I simply swapped the Green & Yellow wires on both sides...

That's what I did, and I ended up in your situation. The black harness clip I have didn't match the clips shown in the pics, so I couldn't tell if they were showing the front side or the back side of the clip, which threw off orientation. Using the link I sent you and the pics, I ended up ordering the wires A B C D, and then plugging them into the black clip. I then tested, and if it didn't work correctly, I disconnected them from the black clip, flipped the clip around, and put them back in in the same order, A B C D.

Ahh, so you think that I have them completely in the reverse order. I'll try it out tomorrow during my downtime at the track.

Thanks for the help!

I remember doing the same thing when I did mine. It seems like you just have to swap two wires but you actually have to switch all the wires around.

So this is what the Passenger Side should look like when complete: Note* Clip is facing you.

Drivers side: *Clip also facing you
