Oil burning

N54 burning 1/2 quart every 2000miles w jb4 does that sound normal?

My vote is no.

Do you have any visible leaks? Can you check the usual places to see if maybe you have a gasket leak?

i'm not sure that my car has burned much more than a half quart of oil in 70k miles, and most of that probably leaked from my Riss Racing oil catch can.

No visible leaks I understand when the car is tuned w jb4 it tends to burn more oil and now I am completely catless so maybe it's normal for my car idk...

How much time to you spend at 4000rpm or higher?

I found my N55 oil consumption was due to oil viscosity breakdown related to high oil temps. Solved my issue with BMW Oil TSTAt bypass. I track the car heavily and do not consume a drop of oil.
