No soft close doors (though there is a DIY for this). Extended leather is available.

Search for other well known issues.

Bearing issues only major issue, but the reality is its a small percentage and therefore a low probability. Get the warranty and maintain it diligently and your golden.
I think you can get extended leather but really makes no big visual difference. I am sure someone disagrees with my opinion.
2011 allot of upgrades took place that people like primarily in the technology and rear tails.
IMOP I would also get the competition package:
1. Modified DSC in "M dynamic mode" ( MDM) .
2. Specially modified EDC in "sports mode" .
3. Exclusive Y spoke 19 inch M light alloy wheels
4. Suspension 10 MM (.4 inches) lower.

Thats my .02 cents, good luck!

I agree. If budget isn't an issue then 2011 and newer. Competition pack is also a must.

What color are you looking for?
How much you looking to spend?
Are you looking for dual clutch transmission or manual?

All of these.

I found my car on Cars.com last Friday. Just a quick search showed 653 M3s for $75k or less in the years 2011-2013. Plenty to choose from. Your best selection is 2011. 469 of them in that year.

You shouldn't pay more than 52k for one in 2011 even with low miles.
Most will be 45 to 52k.
