Carbon Fiber Shortage for M3/M4
I spoke with a dealer in the LA area about ordering a new M3 and he said that BMW is out of carbon fiber for the M3 (and I assume M4). The normal lead time is 3 months, but if I order the car today I'm looking at a late March delivery date. If you want the car sooner, you'll have to get it from a dealer lot.

My dealer told me that the other day as I was signing the paperwork. Glad she'll be rare for a few months longer
