things to be done before free maint. expires
I have a certified pre owned 2011 conv. it has less than 19k on the clock.. the free scheduled maint. is expriring in January 2015. was wondering what I should try and get done before it expires..i know most things are mileage dependent but have seen some things covered or changed because of time vs mileage... was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or tips in what I should tell service advisor..brakes,oil change and anything to the DCT ..thanks for time and advice

Brakes are quite expensive. If you're going to slip those in before expiration, check them for vibrations, etc.
There isn't much else unless you've got an issue; I don't believe they do checks out of schedule.

Get your free differential fluid change. There is a SB for the oil that the car comes with can cause thumping noises when doing a sharp turn.
Got mine done only took 1.5 hours.

Tell the SA "windshield wipers are streaky" and you will get new wiper blades. Complain of an odor in the incoming air and you may get new cabin filters.
Do a few track days and you can get new brake pads. |

I'm guessing your initial warranty is expiring as well?
If so take it to an Indy shop for PPI and let them know your situation. I've done this in past and they found things that BMW wouldn't have without me telling them. For $150 it worth the peace of mind to me. Just a thought |
