Rubbed tires, safe to drive?? (pics)
Got wheels off of a forum member here, he conveniently didnt mention or show the rubbing on the rear tires. Said "like new" condition. I am trying to figure out of these are safe to drive on or if im due some kind of refund.
Safe or not safe? Pics attached. Thanks, Igs |

Doesn't look good to me. I would not want to run those tires but it's hard to determine how deep the grooves are. I would be frustrated that the seller didn't tell you about that.

a cut in the sidewall is a big no-no. If that is a cut in the sidewall, it's not safe to drive on. If it was just some rubbing, it would be fine.

ya I've been told as soon as you see the kevlar stringing inside exposed they aren't any good to drive on. It looks like it's exposed so i'd say they're toast unfortunately.

Yup, and when I contacted him he tried to play it off as UPS did it. Blocked my number too. Filing a claim with Paypal.

I'm sorry that you have this issue. The seller is clearly shady. Very frustrating.
"Like brand new". What a jerk...
