Production delayed ..??

I have a MG with SO M4 on order with a scheduled production date of Sept 15th. I just received word from my SA that my production date has been pushed back almost a month due to a shortage of Black 19" wheels and full SO leather. I really find it hard to believe that BMW would let that happen. The wait is killing me has anyone else heard of or had this issue ...?

Delays are quite common. Mine was delayed 3 or 4 times.

If you look at the ordering forum, you'll see delays for wheels, carbon roof, full leather, LEDs, CCBs. This covers about half of all of the available options. Unfortunately it happens.

My car is in production right now. I do have black 19s, but don't have full SO.

So is there a chance the delay won't take the whole 3-4 weeks they said it would be...?

From Sir Loin's survey - black 19's are the most common.

So this is going to impact a lot of folks - including me.

Seems like BMW should have forecasted this better.

BMW is just prioritizing. If someone has an ED/PCD date they are going to get what materials are available. Everyone else unfortunately will have to wait. It sucks, but it is what it is.

If you ordered in March and were delayed due to CCB shortage - do they reserve the other options for the later date? Ie if there is a wheel or full leather shortage will I be affected by that delay as wll? Wait is killing me too - initial order on 03/02 6+mos and counting

My MG M3 will full SO interior was actually a week+ ahead of schedule. However, I ordered light alloy wheels. Light alloy, FTW!

Delayed here also, I was told its the roof pushing me back a while and the black wheels adding on to it a little.

I just got pushed back as well, from 38 to 42. Im just about ready to go into the dealership and take one off the lot. Wont see my car till about december this way. Dont think im ok with that. This sucks.

The price of doing business for getting your M3/M4 the exact way you want it. It didn't bother me with the E90 M3, and it won't bother me when I order my M4 F83 next year. Now, if even after the delay and the still managed to Eff' up my optio s order, then I would be really pissed.

NOOOOOOOO. Mine was scheduled for the same week with black 19" too! Dammit. I really want this car before my wedding and this is going to be cutting it too close.
