AW 1m with 25k miles in Houston
This has been my daily driver for a little over 3 years. I ordered and purchased new here in Houston with all options checked. Only upgrades were: - Recent wider PS2's on new factory ZCP wheels (4 original scraped but true wheel included with sale) - Dinan basic software upgrade through BMW North Houston about 1 1/2 years ago - Maddad midpipe which I'm including with sale (I've ran off and on over the years but currently have removed) - New part number front fender liners All maintenance up to date and on time. All gas receipts since delivery. Only warranty need was the connector pipe last spring. Nothing has been needed. I'm having two small rock chips color chip blended/sanded right now and PDR on one panel next week. I'll have before and after pics but I want to clean up these easy items. The underside of the nose has the scrapes of a steep parking garage driveway. I'm choosing to keep that the way it is and let the new owner decide what to do with unseen paint scraping. A carbon fiber lip would completely hide all evidence if wanted. I just purchased the 7/70 Gold Plan extended warranty from BMW. I can turn that back in and get my $ back or you can pay an additional $4k and get about 4 years or 45k miles of trouble free driving. I'm having detailed and clayed this weekend but wanted to get out there since my other vehicle has arrived. Chuck Ward Last edited by cward2; 10-03-2014 at 12:01 PM.. Reason: add pictures, edit extended warranty from 7/75 to 7/70 |

Thanks. It's been a treat to get to be its custodian for a little over 3 years.
I've expect the 1M's will end up being like some other German limited production run cars (CLK63 BS and GT3RS 4.0 come to mind for recent production) in which the factory produced limited quantity and likely even lost a little $ all to push the brand forward. If you own and take good care, you can enjoy and then pass on for a reasonably limited cost. Can't do that with too many cars anymore. |
