When 1 Door Closes Another Opens...

Im a firm believer in this now both in my job and now my car. I went today to pick up my M235i at the PDC in SC, when i got there, i had found out the car was ordered incorrectly. Needless to say i didn't take the car and was quite unhappy (luckily i live about 1.5 hrs north and drove down w a friend ). Dealer made very good on it offering money toward a new order...needless to say about 30 min later, i happily ordered a 2015 M3 4DR, 6sp, HK sound, and the rest stripped. Ended up paying only about $40 more a month with no other money down accept a deposit. I can't wait! hoping to have the car before thanks giving! this will be by 4th BMW, 1st official M car. I have raced several M3's but none were mine, so i can't wait to get this on the track and have some fun!

Well after that post this morning from the guy that bailed on his M3 order in favor of an M235i it would appear we are all evened out now

thank you all! i would of been happy w the m235 aswell, but i guess everything happens for a reason right?! Now i have a car that i assume is twice the car the 235 woulda been. Can't beat that!

. I've seen some of these wrong build threads and it is worrisome (esp with an upcoming ED). How bad was the screwup if you don't mind me asking?

i dont mind answering, i wont name the dealer because i dont wanna bad mouth them as they made good on things.

Damn! That seems like more than an oversight. Sounds like they made good, but they should have after a screw up that big. M235s are a blast, but I think you'll be very happy. I had the same choice and it was clear. Congrats again.

Not trying to be a Debbie downer, but $40 a month x even at 72 months is a mere $2880... An m3 is way more than $2880 more than a 235.. Something's not computing here. I know bmw can be generous, but not $20k generous...

If you are tracking your order on bmwusa.com under MyBMW, you will be able to see exactly what BMW is building for you - hopefully it should look just like your order. Shouldn't really be any surprises.
