Production Start to Dealer

If you tracked your timeline, would you mind posting the time it took from the start of production to delivery at your dealer?

My build is suppose to start next week (39). I sold my GL 450 yesterday and am now without a car... Going to rent a car until the M3 gets here. (Which is going suck!).

Just try to time it... Have to fly to KY to pick it up and I'm in FL.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

couple things.

first, build weeks can vary so don't take the build week as law. Build weeks are estimates given to reps from BMW and can change for various reasons.

2nd
once the car "starts production" you are looking at 6-8 weeks till delivery.

Production Finish - 7/20
On Vessel - 7/29
Arrived at Baltimore Port - 8/9
@ VDC - 8/11
@ Dealer (Pittsburgh) - 8/16 (Saturday; service isn't open)
Pick up - 8/18

I called BMW and they told me production would start the first week of September. Maybe it got moved?

That seems to be happening a lot. Mine got moved from Week 41 to Week 38 this week.

From my starting production date till This Thursday is one day shy of 7 weeks.

It got moved to Week 37, so according to BMW, production starts tomorrow 9/8.
