Still "awaiting release to the carrier"

Production for my M3 completed production 8/8. Hotline has stated, "production complete and awaiting release to the carrier". For 17 days? Can anyone offer any insight into this? - seems like an awfully long wait without any progress. Not even at port yet! Getting frustrated with the wait, and with my awful rental car.

Did you speak with a customer service rep?

Zero out and talk to a person. I finished production on August 18th and my status is "currently at the port waiting for a shipping vessel".

This. It is your best chance of getting to the reason for the delay. Although, half the time they don't even know themselves, so best of luck.

I spoke with a women via the 800 number - when given the option after the automated status message. She was no further help. Is there a different avenue? CA of no help either...
