E93 trunk roundel question

Can anyone confirm that the E93 roundel on the trunk is different from the E92? I am looking to change this emblem, but I noticed that this emblem is not the same thickness throughout. I took a look at my friends E92 and the roundel is the same thickness all around.

It almost seems as the E93 roundel is kind of a wedge shape. Can anyone confirm this? With this being said, can the E93 roundel be swapped out with the numerous Ebay roundels being sold for E92?

Aftermarket hardly ever looks like OEM but I doubt BMW would spend the extra money during manufacturing to make two separate sized emblems for the same vehicle line
