Question Full Production = October?

My CA is telling me production numbers for F80/F82 will ramp up starting October - quoting to me we are currently in 'pre-production' and formal production starts in October. Interestingly enough - it aligns with my production start date.

Has anyone else heard a similar story?

are you dealing with a bay area dealer? if so, which one? What he says is a bit suspect. They should be able to provide a production number before the car has started production.

Sorry - I used poor terminology. What I meant to say is I was told "production quantity" would increase in October - meaning BMW is in limited production now and will ramp up to full production for the M3/M4 in October.

Not sure it makes a difference, just wondering if there will be a flood of cars showing up in December.

your dealer is likely just telling you that because they get more allocations in october.

Was told something similar yesterday as well. Said if I were interested, the earliest production I could get would be out of their October allocation.. Also seems like they wouldn't budge from MSRP.
