SO M4 on order

I came into an inheritance, which turned out to be nearly double what I expected when my mother passed away earlier this year. I decided that I would invest most of it through my stockbroker but leave out enough for an M4 and maybe a new Honda Gold Wing, as well as some other things. I am currently on my third BMW, a 2010 an AW E46 335 M-Sport coupe. Had my inheritance been what I expected, I probably would not be ordering a new car.

I ordered an M4 three weeks ago. I got a call from my CA on Monday (8/11) saying that a production number has been assigned and that production is set for Week 41. I hope I get it by Thanksgiving but I won't hold my breath.

I had test driven an F80 M3 a couple of weeks before I ordered. (HOLY S**T!!!) It had the DCT but I want a coupe with 6MT.

I wanted to see a coupe before I ordered so I checked the local dealers' web sites to see if one was available. A local dealer had one in Sakhir Orange so I went down to look at it. My original intent was order MW with SB leather, but when I saw it for real, I then knew I wanted mine in SO with the SO interior.

In the meantime, my check came from the estate, so I quickly went back the the dealer and ordered the car the way I wanted it.

Here is what I'm getting on my M4:

Sakhir Orange Metallic
Sakhir Orange/Black Full Leather
Executive Package
Adaptive M Suspension
19" Light Alloy Wheels, Style 437
Moonroof
Power Rear Sunshade
Harman Kardon sound
Enhanced USB and Bluetooth
6MT

It's going to be a lo-o-ong 3 months or so until my car arrives.

You should save the money and not get the moonroof option.

Carbon Fiber Roof makes the M3/M4 IMO.

I am taking delivery on my M4 next week. It has a mooroof because my wife wanted one and I don't have a problem with that. To her, it's not about impressing others or making all the fan boys happy. We also don't care how many insults come our way - we will enjoy the M4.

Newbie here! we ordered a SO with black interior M3, definitely made sure the car had the moonroof delete. We saw a white m3 parked across the street from our store one day and it took us 5 mins of staring at it and finally walking across the street to look at the trunk to see what model it was.. YES it was that bad, the M3 had the light alloy wheels with a moonroof and I kid you not, both me and the wife thought it was a 335 with nice wheels on it..

Moonroof or no moonroof, you'll still enjoy a great car gmc.

Just go drive a F8x MT car before your lock date. I'm a huge MT fan and my track and Porsche street cars are manual. IMO though, it has to be a GOOD manual to justify the choice. Only you can decide if it's good.

I'm pretty sure this is a typo. Or there is something I didn't know.

Long wait indeed...

And the moonroof may not look as good as the CF - but it is surely a nicer experience from the inside!
