Car is in Prod but BMW website and 800 Line with no info

Is anyone experiencing an issue tracking their car?

I have a prod number, on the bmw site and also on the 800 line it states the order is documented but production doesn't appear to be started.

My CA states it was started 2wks ago and will be at my scheduled PDC appt on Sept 10th.

I have read about so many excited people here tracking the car, knowing the ship its being transported on (some complaining on wait time a port). Maybe not knowing is good but I am curious.

Since the delivery date is approaching my CA wants me to come in and finalize the paperwork but I am hesitant. I can't see the car that was ordered my Prod number isn't showing any status so should I be concerned?

I have a terrible feeling that I will pay for the car and show up for delivery to find it won't be what I ordered. Instead I see a car that was close to my build they had coming in and just sent that to PDC for me. Is this a valid concern?

Does anyone else have a similar situation with delivery approaching and no date on the site or 800 line?

Did you talk to a representative on the 800 line? They have more information and get it earlier that what the automated system tells you. I'd start there, something does sound off though.

That site is useless. It doesn't give you any info until it's actually complete. I had to call 800 number and talk to a rep in order to get any info.

Yeah, call the 800 # and talk to a rep, she was very helpful and gave me much more detailed info than what's on the website. The wait wasn't long either, 1-2 minutes at most.
