You're not alone. Technically it's just a better E46 M3 but it's got a special aura around it that makes it desirable.

Yeh, and it did the Ring 15 seconds faster than the E92 M3 with the same driver at the wheel. Oh for comparison it was also 32 seconds faster than a standard E46 M3. Just a E46 with SMG Mr Blonde, disagree mate. A real stripper that has collector written all over it, and it is only 2 seconds slower than a M3 GTS. Yes please.

There might be some merit in a petition to evict you from these forums. Will be a good investment for all concerned.

I actually do know why and Mr Alpine, as always, has put it ever so nicely.

A lot of that is down to the tyres, it ran Michelin Pilot Sport Cups (R compound) compared with PS2s for the stocker. Nice car, $150k is far over the odds though, there were quite a few for sale last year priced around $110-$120k.

$100K from the UK sounds a lot better though.

Cups were standard, you race what ya brung

Agree though that there were some cars much cheaper on sale earlier this year, one of which had been 'repaired' too.

Stick to the GT-R. The CSL is more if you're after a rare car, I'd say the 1M would be more fun to drive. SMG was shit, especially back in '04.
You'd buy this only for nostalgia, kinda like an e30 M3. You buy it because you love BMW's and not because it's the best bang for buck.

Enjoy the GT-R

Yep, each to their own. They are a nice unit but an E46 M3 is now a shitty old car that looks old fashion, handles poorly and goes like an NA car (ie slow).

The march of technology can never be stopped!

Haha realistically it's more like when I'll be in. I'm flying away in Jan and I'm not sure when I'll be back in Perth. Untill I'm back no car man. Maybe we can swap cars when I miss the 135i?

Oh mate also have to ask you about something else, I'll SMS you.

You cant import if the car is already available here unless its different such as 2 extra seats.
And you need compliance from the manufacturer that it meets regulations here atleast for a new car, in writing.

They probably have a legal loophole thing going on, go UK buy a car or 2 private stay there for 6 months and import it here.

Are these imported from a year or so ago? I am pretty sure they made it harder to import cause people were doing it just to make money.

I tried to import a 2 door Golf R at one point(they are no longer available here except for floor stock), couldnt do it, got as far as getting the papers but some engineer at VW didnt wanna do the written compliance and even if he did I am not 100% sure I could of for some reason.

I wanna fill out the papers and apply for a Zonda R import just for a laugh.

Speaking of GTR and asians.... not a image I like but i guess its part of the whole GTR package. With the 135i its humble... specially in Sedona because it looks good with anyone! I remember letting one of my blonde girlfriends to use my car for a day and she had so many complements from guys and girls.
