My dog is definitely family and I would not inherently have a problem putting him in a M3, just not mine. Not because it's particularly special, but because the cloth seats hold dog hair like nothing else. Even without the dog in the car, every bit of his hair on my pants gets solidly lodged in the threading of the seats. It's just a PIA. Plus, having a coupe, there's no window to open for him to stick his snout out.
He travels exclusively in the SO's hyundai. No worries there! |

My wife is one of the ~20 million women (aged 25-35) produced for America. Turns out my car is significantly more rare than my wife. Plus they are still making women, however, E90 M3s are out of production, so I guess she is replaceable... This is only going to get worse once I can afford a Ferrari...

I let my dogs in my old M3(e36). Before them the interior was utter perfection. A year later it looked like utter crap. I ended up having to get the seats resprayed to sell the thing. It was in perfect shape aside from the horribly scratched seats.
I will not let the dogs in the E92 unless I get one of those canvas covers. Not sure that $275 one is worth it considering I would only need it once or twice a year. If we need to haul the dogs places we use the explorer. But it would be nice to be able to take the dogs to the park without having to wait for the woman to get home. |

My little buddy is always welcome...loves car rides. He's a Havenese so he doesn't shed and his nails are always trimmed so he doesn't scratch the leather. |

Yup, my best buddy gets to ride with me anytime he wants! I just lay a thick blanket down in the back seat and trap the edges in the rear doors, and have a seat belt clip in leash for him.

I let my dog in my previous car (Lexus IS), and I just picked up my m3 last week but will have no problem letting him in the car. I got a car seat cover from a pet show and it's the best the investment. It holds onto dog hair so it won't fly around inside the car and easily washable.
Beside my dog is a 80lbs German shepherd, the best car alarm in the world. (No I don't lock my dog in a hot car, always kept all the windows open for him) |
