The E36 bump stops aid in helping to recover some of the travel in the suspension. Lowering the M3 will reduce that suspension's ability to absorb shock and is prone to bottoming out while hitting a bump in a corner. Dinan suspension packages help to address this.

Can someone help me out here...
  • I thought the ZCP has shorter bump stops already; why replace with the e36?
  • In another thread, someone said the ZCP will sit HIGHER in the rear only if you add the Eibach springs?
  • Lastly (for now, at least), how much lower than ZCP, not stock non-ZCP, will the Eibach bring you?

Thanks for everyone's help. I want to go a little lower than ZCP, but not too much like RD Sport or H&R.

Always enjoyed how Eibach takes a conservative approach and maintains the stock rake. I had them on my E46 and thought they were actually quite good.

The car has Eibach Springs and E36 Bumpstops. Ride is great, and it is hardly any stiffer than the ZCP springs (actually seems to ride better than OEM over choppy bumps but is ever so slightly stiffer than OEM over larger bumps). One thing I noticed is that the front seems to sit lower on a ZCP car with eibachs as compared to a Non-ZCP car. I think this is due to the spring perches being mounted lower (10MM) on the ZCP Dampers compared to the non ZCP Dampers. I personally find the stance just perfect.

I will post some photos with the OEM 359M ZCP wheels installed in the spring when the car comes out of storage.

If you would like to see more photos of the car click on the link in my signature to go to the original thread that was posted by IND.
Looks perfect. I had Eibach springs on my old A6 2.7T and was very happy with them.

Car looks awesome! What is your assessment of the difference in ride quality and tracking performance vs stock ZCP spring set up? Thanks.
